1. Scope
These terms of use apply to the use of the Android app "HausFunk" (hereinafter "App").
By installing and using the App, you accept these terms of use. If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
HausFunk enables voice announcements to be played on Sonos speakers within the local home network. The App records voice via your smartphone's microphone and transmits the recording via the UPnP protocol to selected Sonos speakers on your Wi-Fi network.
The App is provided free of charge and without commercial intent. There are no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, and no advertising.
3. Technical Requirements
The following requirements must be met to use the App:
An Android device with a functioning microphone, a local Wi-Fi network in which both the smartphone and the Sonos speakers are connected, and at least one Sonos speaker that supports the UPnP protocol.
The user is responsible for ensuring that these requirements are met.
4. Compatibility and Availability
The functionality of the App depends on the respective Sonos firmware, device model, Android version, and network environment.
No guarantee is given for compatibility with all Sonos products — in particular future models or firmware versions. Sonos, Inc. may at any time make changes to its devices, protocols, or UPnP support that may impair or prevent the functionality of the App.
The provider is not obligated to adapt the App to such changes but will endeavor to provide updates where possible.
There is no entitlement to continuous availability, further development, or support of the App.
5. Intended Use
The App is intended exclusively for private, non-commercial use as a home intercom system within your own home network.
The user agrees not to misuse the App, in particular not for the transmission of unlawful, offensive, or harassing content, not in third-party networks without the consent of the network operator, and not in any manner that violates the rights of others.
The user is responsible for all content transmitted via the App (voice announcements).
6. Data Protection
The App processes audio data and network information exclusively locally on your device and within your local network. No data is transmitted to external servers or third parties.

7. Limitation of Liability
The App is provided free of charge and "as is" without warranty.
The provider is only liable for damages resulting from intentional or grossly negligent conduct. Liability for slight negligence is excluded to the extent permitted by law, unless it involves a breach of essential contractual obligations (cardinal obligations), damages arising from injury to life, body, or health, or claims under the Product Liability Act.
In particular, no liability is assumed for:
Interruptions, delays, or errors in audio transmission; incompatibilities with certain Sonos devices, firmware versions, or network configurations; effects on ongoing music playback on Sonos speakers (e.g., interruption of a running stream); data loss due to improper use or technical malfunctions; and damages arising from the use of the App in connection with unsupported devices or networks.
8. Intellectual Property
All rights to the App, including source code, design, and the name "HausFunk", belong to the provider.
Sonos® and all related product names and logos are registered trademarks of Sonos, Inc. HausFunk is an independent product and has no affiliation with Sonos, Inc. The App is not manufactured, endorsed, authorized, or recommended by Sonos.
The use of the name "Sonos" in the App and in the associated store listing serves exclusively as a compatibility notice within the meaning of § 23(1)(3) of the German Trademark Act (MarkenG).
9. Open Source Components
The App may contain open-source software libraries. The respective license information and copyright notices are available within the App under the menu item "Licenses" or "Open Source Libraries", as required by the respective licenses.
10. Changes to the App and Terms of Use
The provider reserves the right to modify, update, or discontinue the App at any time without giving rise to any claims by the user.
These terms of use may be changed at any time. The current version is always available at wagnernet.org/hausfunk/terms-of-use. In the event of significant changes, the user will be notified via a notice in the App or as part of an app update. Continued use of the App after a change constitutes acceptance of the amended terms.
11. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Upon uninstallation, all locally stored app data (settings, temporary files) will be automatically removed from your device.
The provider reserves the right to discontinue the provision of the App at any time without giving reasons.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Consumers who have their habitual residence in an EU member state may also invoke the mandatory consumer protection provisions of their country of residence.
13. Severability Clause
Should any provision of these terms of use be or become invalid or unenforceable, the validity of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. In place of the invalid or unenforceable provision, a provision shall apply that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid or unenforceable provision.
